3 arrested for DWI

Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies arrested Elexer Saucedo Trujillo for third-degree driving while intoxicated and test refusal after a traffic stop at 10:18 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Freeborn County Road 45 and Hillcrest Circle in Clarks Grove, according to reports.

Albert Lea police arrested Kirk Andrew Petersen, 41, on a Blue Earth County warrant, driving while intoxicated, open container violation and having no insurance near the intersection of Minnesota Highway 13 and Bayview Drive at 8:10 p.m. Friday, according to reports.

Albert Lea police arrested Kwa Neh, 46, for third-degree driving while intoxicated and test refusal after receiving a report of a careless driver near the intersection of Southeast Broadway and Margaretha Avenue at 10:15 p.m. Friday, according to reports.

Hit-and-run reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported at the intersection of South First Avenue and West Clark Street at 9:08 a.m. Saturday, according to police. The report stated the suspect’s vehicle was northbound on First Avenue when it ran the stop sign at the road’s intersection with Clark Street and collided with another vehicle headed eastbound on Clark Street.

 

Bad check reported to Sheriff’s Office

A $15,000 bad check was written for the purchase of an automobile at the Trading Post, 80860 110th St., Glenville, at 1:42 p.m. Friday, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Man arrested on warrant, drugs

Albert Lea police arrested Joshua Richard Kelly, 20, on a local warrant for underage drinking at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Water Street and North Washington Avenue. Reports indicated Kelly is also expected to be charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

 

Vehicles reported damaged, broken into

A vehicle was keyed at 217 N .Third Ave. at 9:20 p.m. Friday, police stated.

A window was broken out of a truck at 220 S. Pearl St. at 11:51 a.m. Saturday, according to police.

Gas was reported taken from a vehicle at 1801 Frank Hall Drive at 2:26 p.m. Saturday, police stated.

A vehicle at 77820 E. Main St., Albert Lea, was broken into at 8:58 a.m. Saturday, police stated.

 

Metal reported stolen from house

Metal was reported missing from a residence at 23541 800th Ave., Albert Lea, at 11:52 a.m. Sunday, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
