I-35 re-opens to traffic

Interstate 35 has re-opened to traffic near the border to Freeborn and Steele counties after numerous motor vehicles and jackknifed semitrailers blocked the highway Thursday afternoon.

Travel conditions in the area were difficult because of reduced visibility, drifting and icy conditions. The Minnesota Department of Transportation is advising no unnecessary travel.
