Albert Lea, what a wonderful community we live in, a community of people who have continued to show love and support for Corey Goodnature’s memory and the scholarship fund in his honor. For those who may not know, the goal of the annual Corey Goodnature Memorial Golf Classic is to make a difference in the lives of local young adults through educational scholarships.

On June 28 we gathered again to honor Corey, golf and raise money for the scholarships, this year with an extremely special guest — Corey’s son, Shea Goodnature. Shea was able to take leave from his own military commitment and training and join the community for this event. Thank you, Shea!

Once again we had an amazing year in thanks to everyone who participated, volunteered, contributed and showed up to support this great cause. The generosity and appreciation for everyone cannot be said enough!

2015 will mark 10 years since we lost Corey and so many other brave soldiers on June 28, 2005. Again we thank those of you who have supported this event year after year, those who may have attended for the first time and everyone in between! We extend an invitation to all to join us for the 10th annual outing on June 27, 2015. Hope to see you then!
