Albert Lea U11 girls’ soccer team wins state title

The Albert Lea U11 girls’ soccer team won the Minnesota state championship with a 3-0 win July 26 over previously unbeaten Eden Prairie at Shakopee. Albert Lea finished the season with a 16-0-1 record. At the state tournament, the team went 3-0. In the first round on July 20, Albert Lea defeated Mississippi Valley 5-2.
