NEW YORK — Jerry Seinfeld said that Joan Rivers was to join him for an episode of his digital series, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” until he got a call saying she had to postpone because she was undergoing a medical procedure.

Rivers went into cardiac arrest following a throat procedure in New York on Aug. 28 and died on Sept. 4.
