WASECA — A 41-year-old Austin man was found dead Thursday after an apparent accident in a Waseca fish house.

The victim’s father discovered the man — who has not been named — shortly after noon on Clear Lake, according to a Waseca County Sheriff’s Office press release.

The sheriff’s office is still investigating; however, the death is believed to be accidental, and no foul play is suspected, the report said.

“This is most certainly a sad and tragic incident,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a post on Facebook. “Our thoughts and sympathy go out to the family.”

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office will perform an autopsy.

North Ambulance and the Waseca Fire Department assisted at the scene.
