Fully Rely on God

Fully Rely on God of Central Freeborn Lutheran Church in rural Albert Lea had a Valentine’s Day party Feb. 7. Fifty people attended. Eleven were young and 39 were young at heart.

Four grandmas were convinced to attend, namely Nancy Anderson, Michelle Cardona, Irene Goskeson and Sharon Johnson. Much to the delight of the grandkids, all grandmas got bingo. Much to their delight all the grandkids got a bingo prize of their own.

Pizza and pop were followed by 12 games of Norwegian bingo with many of the games having multiple winners.

A Valentine’s card was signed by those present, plus those attending church the next day, and was mailed to each of the 15 church members who haven’t been able to get around much this winter.

Kate Grodhaus, Vern Jahnke and Erica Smith were winners of the door prizes.

The evening concluded with a no-holds-barred, all-the-calories-you-can-eat ice cream buffet.
