Bicyclist injured

One person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries after he was reportedly struck by a car while riding a bicycle Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and East Clark Street in Albert Lea. Glenniss Nadine Winegar, 90, driver of a 2012 Volkswagen, reportedly accidentally struck bicyclist Michael Charles Stam, 52. Stam was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. He was listed in fair condition as of this morning. The incident was reported at 3:51 p.m. Saturday. Look to the Tribune for more updates as more information becomes available.

 

Theft reported

A large screen television was reported stolen from the community room at 1:40 p.m. Friday at Trailside Apartments in Albert Lea.

A television was reported taken at 4:51 p.m. Sunday from 912 Hillside Ave. in Albert Lea.

 

Scam reported

An apparent scam was reported at 4:07 p.m. Friday in Albert Lea. Someone reportedly received an email requesting a $15,500 transfer.

 

Man arrested for meth possession

Police arrested Sam Irvin Thompson on a warrant for violating probation conditions and on new charges, including fifth-degree possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:03 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of West Front Street and Spark Avenue in Albert Lea.

 

Man arrested for damaging property

Police arrested Alexander Carrillos on a local warrant for fourth-degree intentional damage to property at 12:06 p.m. Saturday at 1904 Bridge Ave.

 

1 arrested on warrant

Police arrested Anthony Allen Kamish on a local warrant for theft and a Mower County warrant for burglary at 5:37 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Bay Oaks Drive and Minnesota Highway 13 in Albert Lea.

 

Criminal damage to property reported

Damage was reported to property at 10:42 a.m. Sunday at 115 N. Washington Ave. in Albert Lea. The damage was reportedly done during an attempted break-in.

 

Hit-and-run crash reported

A vehicle was reported hit at 12:37 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Fountain Street and North St. Mary Avenue in Albert Lea.
