Theft reported

A cart full of items was reported stolen from Wal-Mart at 8:46 p.m. Thursday in Albert Lea. A man described as Hispanic and wearing a white shirt, a female wearing a purple shirt, shorts and white shoes and a baby reportedly left with a cart full of unpaid, unknown items with an unknown value in a silver car.

 

Hit and run crash reported

A hit and run crash was reported to the Albert Lea Police Department at 11:28 a.m. Thursday at 1014 Pinehill Drive in Albert Lea. Damage was estimated at $800. The bottom panel of a four panel garage door reportedly had a dent in it. There were no suspects reported. The alleged victim said the incident likely took place Wednesday night.

 

Flashlight reportedly shining through house

Albert Lea police received a report at 3:12 p.m. Thursday of someone shining a light four times into a living room window at 1401 Spartan Ave. in Albert Lea. The incidents reportedly happened at 4:22 a.m. Thursday.

 

Man arrested on local warrant

Anthony Michael Whelan was arrested and held on a local warrant at 4:31 p.m. Thursday at 1710 E. Main St. in Albert Lea.

 

Bike reported stolen

A gray bike was reported stolen at 6:14 p.m. Thursday at 404 Fountain St. in Albert Lea. The bike reportedly had a coil lock around it, a water bottle mount, a white light in front and a red light in the rear of the bike. The alleged victim said he wasn’t sure if the bike was locked up.

 

Mailbox reported missing

A mailbox and post were reported missing at 4:09 p.m. Thursday at 67408 335 St. in New Richland.
