Why not allow refugee screening?

Robin Brown painted an interesting picture of immigration in her article. She used a typical tactic of liberals using one letter to the editor to define the opposition to her point of view. Religion should not be an issue with immigrants. Her side cannot accept the Catholic view on abortion on one hand but seems willing to accept the views of Shari law on woman’s rights or lack of them as being no problem. Liberals paint our country as accepting refugees with open arms, but larger groups of immigrants have had a hard time assimilating into our country for over 100 years. Irish and Italian Catholics and German Lutherans were all groups that were greeted with violence. We have Somali young people in Minnesota being recruited to fight for Islamic groups in the Middle East. President Obama stopped Iraqi immigration for a 10-month period in his first term to review the screening process for that group. Why not have this same time for screening for this group?
