Tewes accepted for admission to Luther College

Scot Schaeffer, Luther College vice president for enrollment management, has announced that Emma Tewes of Albert Lea has been accepted for admission for the 2016-17 academic year. Tewes has been awarded the Luther College President’s Scholarship.

Luther is a selective four-year college located in northeast Iowa. The college has an enrollment of 2,400 students and offers a liberal arts education leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree in 60 majors and pre-professional programs.

Local students accepted to Bethany

Nicholas Christianson of Albert Lea and Taylor Herfindahl have been accepted for admission at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. Founded in 1927, Bethany is a private residential liberal arts college.

 

Chan wrestles for Ridgewater College Warriors

Banypiny Chan of Albert Lea is wrestling on the Ridgewater College Warrior team during the 2015-2016 wrestling season.

Ridgewater College is a community and technical college educating over 6,000 individuals each year on its campuses in Willmar and Hutchinson.

 

Hall graduates from MSU

Minnesota State University — Moorhead awarded degrees to more than 425 students during its fall commencement program on Dec. 17 in the university’s Nemzek Fieldhouse. Alayna Hall of Albert Lea was among those who graduated. Hall was a nursing major.
