A garage was damaged in a fire Sunday night in Albert Lea.

No injuries were reported.

According to a news release, Albert Lea firefighters responded to a garage fire at 1425 Frank Hall Drive shortly after 8:30 p.m.

Damage was reported to the exterior siding of the garage.

Residents reportedly had a campfire earlier in the evening. After putting water on the fire, they thought it was extinguished and went inside. The winds from a storm reportedly caused embers from the campfire to blow into a wood pile that was stacked against the back of the garage.

Albert Lea police and Gold Cross ambulance crews assisted on scene.
