Juvenile attempts to stab guard

A juvenile was reported as having tried to stab a security guard with a fork at 11:04 a.m. Thursday at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. The security guard was reportedly not stabbed, but was reportedly injured during the struggle. No charges were requested.

 

2 arrested on warrants

Albert Lea police arrested Juan Vazquez Jr. on a warrant for first-degree theft, first-degree criminal mischief, third-degree burglary and misdemeanor trespassing at 11:54 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Margaretha Avenue and East 11th Street. Vazquez was also held on local charges.

Police arrested Cory Glenn Flatness on a warrant at 8:10 p.m. Thursday at Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center.

 

Gas stolen

A person driving a black Chevy Silverado reportedly stole $46 in gas at 11:59 a.m. Thursday at 1210 E. Main St. Information was sent to Minnesota State Patrol, Mower County and Olmsted County.

 

Fight reported

A fight was reported at 12:33 p.m. Thursday at Albert Lea High School. A 15-year-old was reportedly charged with disorderly conduct in connection with the incident.
