1 arrested for drunken driving

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Timothy Scott Coughlin, 55, for third-degree driving while intoxicated during a traffic stop at 2:18 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Adams Avenue and West Clark Street.

Property damaged, stolen

Damage to a window was reported at 7:39 a.m. Tuesday at 225 Water St. The damage was allegedly from an attempted break-in.

A mailbox was reported damaged at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday at 2213 Margaretha Ave.

Approximately $3 to $4 in change and a work phone were reported taken at 3:09 p.m. Tuesday at 1205 South Shore Drive. 

A gun safe, Remington shotgun, powder rifle, jewelry and at least one other item were reported missing at 3:28 p.m. Tuesday at 1344 Briarwood Drive. Forced entry into a house was reported, and the residence was reported “trashed,” according to police records. A recent burglary allegedly occurred at the address.

1 arrested on warrant

Michael James Pepin, 27, turned himself in on a local warrant at 5:03 a.m. Wednesday at 411 S. Broadway.

Reports given

Reports of vulnerable adult investigations were made at 8:05 a.m. and 8:06 a.m. Tuesday in Albert Lea.

Disorderly conduct reported

Disorderly conduct was reported at 11:51 a.m. Tuesday at 2000 Tiger Lane.

A fight was reported at 8:14 p.m. Tuesday at 506 Minnesota Ave.
