Albert Lea High School choir director Diane Heaney announces this year’s “CAT”aclysmic show choir and SASS show choir members. The show choir students and their parents will host a competition in Albert Lea on March 24, 2012.

The “CAT”aclysmic show choir was chosen by audition from more than 100 students. The group rehearses regularly on Tuesday and Friday mornings and will be available for local performances in late winter and spring. The group is accompanied by a full instrumental combo including Kelsey Thomas, Alison Sipple, Matt Buhr, Kailie Drescher, Isaac Ware, Lani Hanson, Christian Anderson and CeCe Maras. The show choir is made up of the following members:

On soprano are Kelsey Lenhart, Taylor Peek, Morgan Ciota, Macy Paul, Sam Heilman, Meghan Gardner, Suzie Marin, Katie Williamson, Kelly Kaasa, Hannah Hertling, Sarah Savelkoul, Ashley Tewes, Sam Stanley and Michelle Hartmann. On alto are Erin Everhard, Galen Schulz, Laura Piper, Kelli Sanderson, Ella Otten, Chrissy Monson, Jalen Jimenez, Karli Kriewall, Morgan Field, Emma Behling, Hanna DeVries, Chelsea Petersen, Claire Buendorf and Colleen Thompson. On tenor are Tanner Shaft, Sergio Salgado, Erick Anderson, Seth Tovar, Jace Talamantes, Matt Attig, Daniel Gould, Connor Larson, Kyle Zogg, John Buringa and Jordan Vano. On bass are Nick Bera, Kyle Ooms, Jeremy Sekora, Matt Bera, Tate Tufte, Andy Ehrhardt, Larry Holcomb, James Young, Foster Otten, Caleb Troe, Nick Walther, Jacob Jensen and Sergio Chavez.

The women’s prep show chois, The SASS, rehearse on Wednesday mornings. The group is made up of the following members:
