A timeline, based on testimony, around the time of Makaio Radke’s death:

April 20

9:00 a.m. Peggy Radke arrives home from her night-shift job in Owatonna.

10:30 a.m. Radke leaves home for a while to make a long-distance call from her friend’s house.

11 a.m. County social worker Lisa Frank visits the house and stays for about 20 minutes.

1 p.m. Radke and Kristina Ann Baker leave for Austin, leaving Paul Gutierrez to watch the children. Baker had a job and Peggy had a payment to make there.

2:30 p.m. Radke and Baker arrive at the home of Baker’s mother in Austin. Radke goes to bed.

2:43 p.m. Baker calls Gutierrez at home, then leaves for work.

7:00 p.m. Gutierrez calls Baker’s mother, asking for Baker or Radke. Radke was still asleep.

8:12 p.m. Baker finishes her shift, then visits a friend.

9 p.m. Gutierrez calls his foster mother, indicating something happened to the baby.

11:45 p.m. Radke and Baker leave Austin.

April 21

12:44 a.m. Radke and Baker stop at Wal-Mart in Albert Lea. Radke buys a bicycle and other goods.

1 a.m. Radke and Baker return home and find Gutierrez dozing on a sofa in the living room.

2 a.m. Baker goes to bed. Radke stays awake all night watching TV. She does not check the children’s bedroom.

4:20 a.m. Radke goes for a walk outside for 10 minutes.

6:30 a.m. Baker woke up, and saw Radle was feeding her daughter. Baker goes back to bed.

7:30 a.m. Baker originally said, but later retracted, that she heard Makaio Radke crying at this time.

8 a.m. Gutierrez goes out for a walk with the dog.

8:30 a.m. Baker wakes up. Radke calls a child-custody monitoring organization to report some bruises on her daughter’s bottom.

9:50 a.m. Gutierrez reports to Peggy Radke that Makaio was found cold in his crib.

9:52 a.m. A hang-up 911 call is made from 505 Johnson St.

10 a.m. Gutierrez calls a friend, saying he played too rough with Makaio.

10:10 a.m. Peggy Radke arrives at Albert Lea Medical Center with Makaio.

10:19 a.m. The baby is confirmed dead.

10:35 a.m. An Albert Lea police officer arrives at 505 Johnson St. Gutierrez leaves the house through the back door
