It was the final score she didn’t particularly care for.

Conzemius’s Tigers outshot and, by most accounts, outplayed Austin Thursday night but lost 2-1 in a Big Nine meeting at Hammer Field.

&uot;We did a lot of things well,&uot; said Conzemius. &uot;If I were to critique the game according to how we played, I’m pleased. It was just a matter of things didn’t fall in our favor. I wish more of those shots on goal would have gone in.&uot;

The Packers put the first goal in the net in the 13th minute of the first half, and it was 1-0 at halftime.

The Tigers’ Brittany Hanson knotted it in the 19th minute of the second half and it remained 1-1 until the final minute of regulation.

Austin scored the gamewinner on a breakaway with 18 seconds remaining.

For the game, the Tigers outshot the Packers 32-13.

Jenny Elseth was in the nets for Albert Lea.

Kim DeYoung and Amy Ravenhorst played a strong game for the Tigers, according to Conzemius.

The Albert Lea junior varsity won 4-1.

The loss dropped the varsity Tigers to 8-4 in the Big Nine and 9-5 overall. They travel to Rochester John Marshall Saturday, with the JV game set for 1 p.m. and the varsity for 3 p.m.
