The Wolverines of Glenville-Emmons hosted a five-team junior varsity volleyball tournament Saturday.

Glenville-Emmons finished second behind Gopher Conference rival Waterville-Elysian-Morristown. Blooming Prairie defeated Southland in the third-place match. Alden-Conger also competed.

The Wolverines were led at the service line by Emily Bernau, who went 34-for-34 with four aces. Jenny Rayman was 46-for-49 with three aces, Crystal Flattum 31-for-34, Jill Yost 22-for-22, Holly Herr 21-for-23 with two aces, Katie Erickson 16-for-20 with one ace, Loren Bremer 8-for-11, Missy Hagen 7-for-7 and Alisa Rayman 7-for-8.

Flattum registered a team-best 14 set assists; Bremer had 13.

Erickson was the leader on offense with 12 kills on spikes, six tip kills and two block kills. Jenny Rayman had three kills, two tips and two blocks.

Other Glenville-Emmons statistics: Alisa Rayman, four kills; Bernau, three kills, two tips; Herr, four kills; Hagen, one kill; Flattum, one kill; Yost, four kills, two tips.

The Wolverines are in action at the varsity level tonight, traveling to conference-leading Blooming Prairie for the final match of the regular season.
