Sue Jorgensen gives some theatrical instruction to fourth-graders at Halverson Elementary School Thursday. As part of Theatre Initiative 2000, several community members, who are active in the theater, have been coming into elementary schools and working with children for a week, giving the kids a general idea of what theater is all about. These youngsters will then perform the play &uot;The Shepherd Who Cried Wolf&uot; today at school. This initiative, started last summer by Joan Muschler and Glen Parsons, was one of several goals of the Comprehensive Arts Planning Program, which is designed to help school districts plan and implement a comprehensive K-12 school arts program.
