Congratulations to the CVCC

The volunteers who make the Crime Victim’s Crisis Center work deserve our congratulations after getting a national award.

The efforts of the center’s dedicated volunteers help make an important service available to those who need it. In a perfect world, counseling for victims of crime wouldn’t be necessary. but it’s a comfort that people in the area are willing to step up to do this difficult and uncomfortable job.

Crime victims have an emotional burden – and often a physical one – that can last for a long time. When someone is ready to offer a helping hand to someone who has been victimized, it only makes recovery easier.

It’s our hope that more people will learn about this service. We hope they never have to use it, but it will be there if they do.
