Carquest will hold an open house Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to celebrate the company’s new location at 1902 East Main Street, Karl said. The company moved to the old Big Bear building in late January to better serve their customers, he said.

&uot;We had the opportunity to get a little larger building with a better layout,&uot; he said.

The new building has twice as much counter-space, and a larger floor enabling Karl to set up better merchandise displays, he said. It offers better parking and a better atmosphere than the old building.

During the open house, Karl’s will offer door prizes and in-store specials. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. they will also offer a hot dog and Pepsi for $1, which will be donated to the Minnesota Special Olympics, he said.

Karl’s Carquest is located at 1902 East Main Street. The phone number is 373-3944. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7:30 a.m. through 2 p.m. Saturday.
