This time, the Tigers went down.

Two days after a dramatic come-from-behind victory over Rochester John Marshall, the Tigers had one of their worst games of the spring and lost 10-0 to Austin at Marcusen Park Thursday.

&uot;We can play so up and down,&uot; said coach Joe Sczublewski. &uot;We played so poorly against Fairmont, then had just a great game against JM, and then this.&uot;

This one was called after six innings by the 10-run rule.

Isaac Walton had two of the Tigers’ three hits. Jay Link and Andy Drenth added one apiece.

Link started on the mound and went 3 1/3 innings, giving up nine runs on seven hits, with four walks and six strikeouts. Seven of the runs off him were earned. Isaiah Parry didn’t give up an earned run through the last 2 1/3 innings, allowing three hits; he struck out one and walked one.

The Tigers, 6-9 overall and 5-8 in the Big Nine, host No. 5 rated Rochester Century today in a doubleheader at 4 and 6 p.m. at Hayek Field.
