Alden-Conger fourth- and fifth-graders prepare a time capsule with Bev Jackson at the Freeborn County Historical Museum before sealing it up Friday morning. The box, which will be opened on May 18, 2050, contained many items collected by Friends of the Museum that portray &uot;the lighter side of history in Freeborn County,&uot; including a beanie baby, t-shirt and scroll written by the Alden-Conger students about their favorite events of the past year. The students were all invited in advance to come back for the reopening of the box.
