Jim Doty of Albert Lea waves to the crowd from his seat on the first float of the July 3 parade Tuesday. A United States Marine Corps paratrooper himself, he and other military veterans lined both sides of a semi-truck trailer and led the way for the rest of the floats in the patriotic event.
