&uot;We got a call early that the lights went out on the lower level of Lakeview so we had to get those taken care of,&uot; Olson told the school board Monday. &uot;We replaced a couple of fuses before the kids got there.&uot;

Finance Director Mark Stotts said enrollment numbers appeared steady from last year, based on only one day of school.

&uot;We’re keeping an eye on it, especially to see if the Farmland fire is going to have an impact,&uot; Stotts said. &uot;It’s too early to say, but it does look positive so far.&uot;

Kindergarten students begin class today, and many students begin school next week because of vacations.

&uot;There are a lot of kids who show up after that first week, so the picture isn’t completely clear yet,&uot; Stotts said.
