Larry’s Pumpkin Patch continues its third weekend of family fun this weekend. There’s a haunted house, live animals, a &uot;maze through the Garden of Weedin’,&uot; games for the kids and a walking trail. Admission is free, and there are pumpkins and gourds of all shapes and size for purchase.

Here’s a look at area events planned for this weekend:

Friday, Oct. 19

— The Pumpkin Patch is open from 1-6 p.m. To get there, from Skyline Mall, go 2 miles west on County Road 46. Turn left on County Road 71. The Pumpkin Patch is about half a mile on the right side of the road.

Saturday, Oct. 20

— The Albert Lea Farmers’ Market opens at 9 a.m. Locally grown fresh produce, jams and jellies and baked goods are available for purchase.

— The Humane Society of Freeborn County will hold a pet adoption event from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Gayle’s Grooming and Pet Supplies, 917 S. Broadway Ave. A variety of dogs and cats will be available for adoption.

— The Pumpkin Patch is open from noon-6 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 21

— A pancake breakfast to benefit the Red Cross National Disaster Fund will be held from 7:30-11:30 a.m. at the Albert Lea Armory. Cost is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children 6-10, and those 5 and under eat free. Advance tickets are available at the police station, fire station and the armory. The event is hosted by the Fire, Police and National Guard Explorers.

— The Pumpkin Patch is open from noon-6 p.m.
