WINONA &045; Maybe it was the long bus ride or the fact Big Nine power Rochester Century was competing.

Whatever the reason, coach Margo Wayne felt the Albert Lea High School girls’ track and field team was not at its best in a four-team Big Nine meet at Winona Tuesday.

&uot;To be real honest, I thought we competed real well but I thought we were a little flat,&uot; said Wayne. &uot;I don’t know what to attribute it to. We had some real good performances, but we didn’t get the places I expected.&uot;
