Freeborn County Auditor/Treasurer Dennis Distad announced Tuesday that he would seek another term.

Distad was appointed to the position in 1985, and has been elected four consecutive times since then. He started working for the county in March 1971 and has been in charge of tax-related assignments in the auditor/treasurer and assessor’s departments.

Incumbent County Attorney Craig Nelson and Recorder Kelly Callahan are also expected to run for re-election.
