G-E track squads compete

FARIBAULT &045; The weather was not ideal for competition, but Glenville-Emmons track and field coach Mike Kropp was pleased with how the Wolverines competed in Thursday’s Bethlehem Academy Invitational.

Maurice Chessmore had the Wolverines’ lone first places, winning the shot put, discus and triple jump.

David Chessmore, an eighth-grader, was third in the discus.

The Glenville-Emmons boys were fourth among five schools.

The Wolverine girls were third, capturing five second places.

Leslie Harlan was second in the shot put and discus, Janelle Hummel second in the 200. Heidi Hansen, Megan Bjorklund, Sara Greibrok and Hummel were second in the 4×400 relay.

Leann Chessmore placed third in the shot put, discus and triple jump.

Hansen, Greibrok, Bjorklund and Lindsey Honsey took third in the 4×800 relay.
