The graveside service for Ida Mae (Black) Slater of Ulysses, Kan., will be

11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, at Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea. The Rev. Jerry Peltz will officiate. Interment will be beside her husband and brother who preceded her in death. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea.

Ida Mae Slater was born April 1, 1930, to Robert and Ida Black at Mason City, Iowa. She married Harold L. Slater on May 6, 1949. They moved to Oklahoma City, Okla., in 1956. Because of failing health her son David took her into his home in 1998.

Ida Mae Slater is survived by Harold’s children and their families; son, David Slater; and sister, Marie Harris and her family in and around Mason City, Iowa.

Ida Mae Slater was preceded in death by her parents and brother.
