Orville T. Hove, 93, Blue Earth

Funeral services for Orville T. Hove, age 93, of Blue Earth, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, at South Blue Earth Lutheran Church in Seely Township, Faribault County. The Rev. Patricia Hinkie will officiate. Visitation will be at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Bricelyn from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be in the South Blue Earth Lutheran Cemetery in Seely Township, Faribault County.

Orville died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at the United Hospital in Blue Earth.

He married his first wife Margaret (Larsen) Hove on Nov. 7,1936, in Forest City, Iowa. He married his second wife Anola (Wallen) (Larsen) Hove on Aug. 9, 1975 at Shiloh Lutheran Church in Elmore.

Orville attended Homedahl County School through the eighth grade. He worked for many different farmers in the Bricelyn area. After getting married he started farming for himself in the Bricelyn area. Orville served various positions at the South Blue Earth Lutheran Church, where he had been a lifetime member. He also served on the Rake Elevator board. Orville’s farming was his love but he also loved watching the Twins, Viking, and horse racing on TV. He liked playing cards and reading. Orville especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Orville is survived by his wife, Anola Hove of Blue Earth; three daughters: Carol and husband Duane Dahl of Bricelyn, Cynthia and husband Kenneth Hill of New Brighton, Minn., and Suzanne Hove of Rochester; three stepchildren: Craig and wife Kathy Larsen of Minneapolis, Brad and wife Lynn Larsen of Jackson, Minn., and Christine Larsen and husband Dr. Doug Golenbock of Wellesley, Mass.; 15 grandchildren: Janet and husband Kyle Rosedahl of LeRoy, Eric and wife Shelly Dahl of Bricelyn, Brian and wife Cindy Dahl of Clinton, Minn., Kaia and husband David Melin of New Brighton, Kendra Hill of White Bear Lake, Minn., Anne and husband Terry Meyer of Beaver Creek, Ohio, John Hanson of Edina, Diane Hanson and fianc Gabriel Beavers of Dallas, Texas, James Hanson of West Concord, Minn., Stacy Larsen of Rhode Island, Nicki Larsen of Minneapolis, Robert Larsen of Jackson, Lindsey Larsen of Jackson, and Justin and Sam Golenbock of Wellesley, Mass.; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Arlow and wife LaVon Hove of Bricelyn; five sisters: Thelma Roberts of Swea City, Iowa, Clarice and husband Roy Rhoda of Elmore, Marjorie and husband Dale Thompson of Wells, Arlean and husband George Baker of Surprise, Ariz., and Shirley and husband Tom Helling of Hudson, Iowa; one brother-in-law, Jule Henning of Bricelyn; one sister-in-law, Betty Hove of Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Orville was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Annie Hove; first wife, Margaret in 1974; two sisters: Gladys Keister and Emmeline Henning; and one brother, Clifford Hove.
