Bonita “Bonnie” Ann Erickson, age 72, of Madison Lake, Minn., died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina.

A memorial service will be held at

9 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, with the Rev. Kevin Connolly officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Madison Lake. Arrangements are with Mankato Mortuary.

Bonnie was born on March 20, 1930, in Mankato to Henry and Angela (Muellerleile) Heynen. She graduated from Good Counsel Academy in 1949, and attended Mankato State College. Bonnie was united in marriage to Gene Erickson on Sept. 7, 1950, in Mankato. They moved to Albert Lea where she was employed in the medical records department of the Albert Lea Medical and Surgical Center for 20 years. Bonnie and Gene moved to Madison Lake in 1990. She enjoyed traveling, playing piano, dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her two sons: Mark Erickson of Madison Lake, and Brian Erickson and his wife Edie of Lakeville, Minn.; three grandchildren: Seth, Emma and Nathan Erickson, one sister, Sr. Mary Jane Heynen, SSND, of Edina, Minn.; an honorary niece, Nancy Sipe; and many cousins and other relatives in Holland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, in 2000; and one son, Michael, on June 1, 2002.

Michael G. Erickson, age 46, of Mankato, died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. A memorial service will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, with the Rev. Kevin Connolly officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Madison Lake. Arrangements are with Mankato Mortuary.
