Dr. Gordon Sward, formerly of Albert Lea, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2002, in Matthews, N.C. He was 68 years old.

While in Albert Lea, he was a practicing dentist.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marliss (Hatleli) Sward; his mother, Signe Sward; four children: Cheryl and her husband Jim Engskow, Karen and her husband Tony Woodfin, David Sward and his wife Robin, and Mark Sward and his wife Melissa; and 24 grandchildren.

The funeral was held Tuesday, June 4, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., at Good News Fellowship Church.
