Five area track athletes, including three from NRHEG, advance to state tourney

MANKATO &045; Five area athletes have advanced to the Minnesota state track and field meet from Saturday’s Section 2A meet at Mankato West.
New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva had the most qualifiers. Camille Kyte made it in the 100 and 200-meter dashes, Nicole Lonning in the shot put and Kalisha Anthony in the pole vault. Panthers coach Duey Ferber was voted Section 2A Coach of the Year.
Also advancing to state were Casey Christenson of United South Central and Megan Jensen of Alden-Conger.
