Kevin L. Vogland, age 50, formerly of Austin, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at his home in Inver Grove Heights.

Kevin was born June 6, 1952, in Minneapolis, to Dale and Patricia (Grapes) Vogland. On Aug. 2, 1972, he was united In marriage to Ramona Billadeau in San Francisco, Calif. He was retired from the United States Navy. Kevin was a freelance writer and a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona Vogland of Inver Grove Heights; two daughters: Christina Vogland of Hastings, and Kirsten Vogland of Inver Grove Heights; son, Jeremy Vogland of Inver Grove Heights; granddaughter, Mikaela Vogland of Hastings; two brothers: Kirk and Dorene Vogland of Bloomington, and Jeffrey and Alicia Vogland of Fresno, Calif.; sister, Judy and Tim Cacchione of Miami, Fla.; mother-in-law, Mavis Billadeau of Austin; brother-in-law, Dennis Billadeau of Austin; and sister-in-law, Mary Ellen and Douglas Schnebly of Faribault.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, June 14, at the Hayward Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Malm officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at Mayer Funeral Home, Austin, and one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Woodbury Cemetery in Lyle with military rites by VFW Post #1216.

The casket bearers will be Kirk Vogland, Zachary Vogland, Dennis Billadeau, Scott Billadeau, Brian Billadeau, Douglas Schnebly, Jason Schnebly and Allen Dunn.
