Leota V. Neste, age 85, of Waseca, died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at the Waseca Medical Center.

Born in Albert Lea on Jan. 13, 1917, she was the daughter of Louis and Anna (Morgan) Kabrud. She married Palmer Neste on July 2, 1934 in Northwood, Iowa. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca and the Ladies Aid.

She is survived by three daughters: Suzanne Webster and her husband Jim of Minnesota Lake, Judy Kelling of Waldorf, and Polly Apold and her husband Bill of Austin; three sons: Doug Neste of Albert Lea, Mark Neste and his wife Lynda of Waseca, and Luke Neste of Waseca; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be held at the Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Sunday, June 9, from 4-8 p.m. and continue on Monday one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 10, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca with the Rev. Armand J. Boehme STM and Vicar Dale Boening officiating. Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.

Casket Bearers will be Adam Neste, Scott Kelling, Brad Apold, Chad Apold, Dan Webster, Bryan Kelling and Brady Kelling.
