Funeral services for William (Willie) Allen Olson, age 58, of Hayward, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Scott Meyer will officiate. Interment will be in the Hayward Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.

William died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

William Allan Olson was born March 10, 1944, to Theodore William and Cora T. (Swenning) Olson in Albert Lea. He grew up in Hayward and lived there all of his life. William worked at the Hayward Elevator for many years. He enjoyed baseball, football, motorcycles, bowling, and collecting sports cards.

Survivors include sisters: Carolyn Noland of Albert Lea, and Marlene Schroeder of Northwood, Iowa; nieces: Teresa Pender of Nora Springs, Iowa, and Barbara Hodge of Wells; and two great-nieces and two great-nephews.

William was preceded in death by his parents; and half-brothers: LaVerne Olson and Manville Olson.
