Eagles team hot

The Albert Lea Eagles 15-and-under baseball team ended league play on a four-game winning streak.
Albert Lea avenged two previous losses to Quad Cities with a 6-2 victory at home. Brandon Klukow pitched five strong innings for the win. Tony Dugstad pitched two innings of scoreless relief for the save. Ryan Truesdell, Donald Graves and Klukow each had two hits. Other hits were provided by Dugstad and Kris Pleiss.
Albert Lea then took on a strong Austin team and won 3-1. Preston Dahl pitched the first four innings for the win. Dugstad tossed the last three innings for the save and led the offense with two doubles. Single hits were recorded by Truesdell, Klukow, Jerrod Stadheim, Graves and Pleiss.
The Eagles scored six runs in the top of the sixth inning to beat Waseca 8-6. Graves started pitching and Klukow finished the game for the win. Klukow and Stadheim led the offense with two hits apiece. Stadheim tallied four RBIs. Collecting one hit each were Pleiss, Dahl, Jarod Butler, Trent Miller, Graves and Brock Sorenson.
The 15-year-olds concluded league play with a 4-0 win over Owatonna. Dahl pitched four innings for the win. Dugstad recorded three innings for the save and combined shutout. Pleiss had two hits. Butler, Klukow and Miller each had a hit.
The Eagles conclude summer play this weekend with the league tournament at Austin.
