Jason Lee Johnson, 27, Kiester

Funeral services for Jason Lee Johnson, 27, of Kiester, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, July 8, 2002 at the Bricelyn Lutheran Church in Bricelyn, with the Rev. Dani Jo Ninke-Greaver officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place at a later date.

Jason Lee Johnson died Thursday, July 4, 2002 at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester from complications of leukemia.

Jason was born Sept. 8, 1974, the son of Dennis and Rhonda (Woodwick) Johnson in Forest City, Iowa. On March 26, 1999, he married Melissa Petersen in Rochester.

Jason graduated from USC High School in Wells in 1993, and graduated from Albert Lea Technical College as an electrician. He was a former member of Bricelyn Lutheran Church, and currently was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Pickerel Lake. He enjoyed hunting, drawing and especially his family.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Johnson, of Kiester; three children, Taylor, Nicholas and Jace Johnson of Kiester; parents Dennis and Rhonda Johnson of Bricelyn; two brothers, Jeremy Johnson of Forest City, Iowa and Jesse Johnson of Bricelyln; a newpew, Dakota Johnson of Forst City, Iowa; father-in-law, Phillip Petersen of Albert Lea; mother-in-law, Sue Kiel of Grand Marais, Minn.; two sisters-in-law, Carrie and Amie Petersen of Albert Lea; a brother-in-law, John Kiel of Grand Marais; grandparents-in-law Keneth Petersen and Joanne Petersen of Albert Lea and Allberta and Dean Heiny of Lake Mills, Iowa; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
