Second-half goals sink U-10 boys

The Albert Lea U-10 boys’ soccer team was defeated 3-0 by Apple Valley in recent action.

Casey Marka kept busy defending the goal, keeping the score 0-0 at halftime.

Lars Gjersvik and Jon Wrolson played sweeper, keeping the goal free.

Luke Thompson had an excellent pass to Eric Carlson to try to score. Several other attempts were made at the Apple Valley defense by Adam Flategraff, Seth Light and Aaron Thomas.

Daniel Edwards took over goalie duties in the second half, deflecting several shots by the opponents with help from defensive players Joe Leland, Sam Matheson and Kirby Sengphirom.

Brain Reindl and Jack Sturtz did an excellent job carrying the ball upfield. Several shots were set up for scores but the Apple Valley defense stayed strong.

The next and final game for the U-10 boys is the MYSA Jamboree in Blaine.
