The funeral service for Einar A. Christianson of Hartland will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, Hartland. The Rev. Dennis Frank will officiate. Interment will be in the Hartland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.

Einar died Monday, July 29, 2002, at the Albert Lea Medical Center. He was 92 years old.

Einar was born Oct. 12, 1909, in Oslo, Norway to Hans and Olga Christianson. He came to this country in 1911 and settled at Manchester, Minnesota. Einar was confirmed at West Freeborn Lutheran Church. Around 1920 they moved to a farm in the Freeborn area. He graduated from Freeborn High School. Einar married Ann Richter in 1933 at Conger. In 1936, he moved to Hartland and started a hardware and farm implement business until he sold the business in 1977 when he retired. He belonged to Cross of Glory Lutheran Church and had served on their church council. Einar also belonged to the Sons of Norway and had served on the Hartland City Council and school board. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and after his retirement, spending winters in Mesa, Ariz.

Einar is survived by his daughter, Donna Rausch and her husband Gerald of Cleveland, Minn.; four grandchildren: Susy Bengtson and her husband Keith of Ellendale, Troy Schue and his wife Chris of New Richland, Stacey Eustice and her husband Todd of New Richland, and Terry Schue and his wife Alicia of Owatonna; great-grandchildren: Joe Omann, Cortney Omann, Cali Schue, Raelin Schue, Riley Schue, Colton Eustice, Hunter Eustice, Cassandra Schue, Nolan Schue and Nicholai Schue; sisters: Elsie Brink of Albert Lea, and Ruby Weidenheft and her husband Bill of Billings, Mont.; brother, Donald Christianson and his wife Margaret of Buena Vista, Ark.; sisters-in-law: Ardis Christianson of Austin, and June Christianson of Albert Lea.

Einar was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann; brothers: Oscar, Ralph, Ernie, Ray and Norman; and sister, Evelyn Hintz.
