Street work continues downtown

Lucas Johnson operates a Bobcat tractor with an attached cement

breaker, which was being used to remove a rainwater inlet near

the corner of East Clark Street and Lake Avenue Monday morning.

The inlet will be replaced as part of the city’s comprehensive

street improvement project. Helping to guide the placement of

the cement breaker’s steel point is street department worker Ryan

Hajek on the right. Elsewhere downtown, the city was to work on

striping the newly paved streets this week.
