Funeral services for Brittney Kristine Wicks, of Albert Lea, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2002 at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel in Albert Lea. Rev. Don Rose will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Brittney died on Thursday, Sept. 19. 2002 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, she was one-day-old.

Brittney was born in Rochester on Wednesday, the daughter of Michael Wicks and Kristine Jacobs.

She is survived by her parents, one brother Trai Wicks, grandparents Tom and his wife Kathy Jacobs of Albert Lea, Karlis and his wife Bernie Wicks of Albert Lea. Great-grandparents George and his wife Dode Jacobs of Albert Lea, Lester and his wife Elaine Tinkharn of Mesa, Ariz. One aunt, Christina and her husband Jon Wach of Albert Lea. One uncle, Dustin Jacobs of Albert Lea. Two special cousins Kaden Becker and Dana Jacobs both of Albert Lea. Many loving aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Brittney was preceded in death by great-grandparents Melvin (Helen) Rippentrop and Olaf (Julia) Wicks.
