The funeral service for Edith C. Rund of Albert Lea will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.

Edith died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at her home. She was 82 years old.

Edith was born April 21, 1920, at Swede Prairie Township, Clarkfield, Minn., to Lars and Louise (Martinson) Olson. She married Byron E. Rund on May 3, 1941, at Dawson, Minn.. Edith graduated from Clarkfield High School, Clarkfield. She has lived in Albert Lea for over 50 years and was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Edith is survived by two children: Lorie Olsen of Madison, Wis., and Bob Rund of Madison, Wis.; sisters: Lilia Mauland and her husband Herbert of Hanley Falls, Minn., and Marian Varpness of Clarkfield; brothers: Walter Olson of Cottonwood, Minn., Ordell Olson and his wife Ruby of Hopkins, Minn. and Vernon Olson and his wife Dorothy of Richmond, Minn.; sisters-in-law: Louise Olson of Hopkins, and Arlene Olson of Hutchinson, Minn.,; and many nieces and nephews.

Edith is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Byron, in 1992; brothers: Milford, Lawrence and Glen; and sister Opal Weberg.
