Robert Munzke, age 66, of Alden died Thursday Sept. 19, 2002 at Lura Lake in Blue Earth County, Minn. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, 2002 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden. Rev. Peter Soli will officiate. Visitation will be at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells from 4-8 p.m. today and visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be at Alden Cemetery in Alden. Military honors will be by the Wells Color Guard.

Robert was born Jan. 8, 1936, the son of Lewis W. and Irene (Schulz) Munzke in Montrose, S.D. He married Victoria Tamayo on Sept. 19, 1956 in the Philippines.

Robert attended school in St. James and Wells. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines. He worked at Wells Concrete Products-Prestress for 14 years. He farmed near Wells and moved to Alden in 1983. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden. He was a life member of Wells American Legion. He was a member of the Senior Citizens Bowling League in Albert Lea. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Victoria Munzke of Alden; step-son, Ernest and wife Angie Salas of Wells. Six grand children. Four sister; Karen and husband Chuck Rhedin of Bloomington, Minn.; Joyce and husband Ross Hansen of Wells; Linda and husband Swehla of Easton; Janice and husband Steve Nowak of Wells. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
