The Freeborn County Sheriff’s office busted a clandestine methampetamines laboratory Saturday. Of five suspects being arrested, three adults were charged with possession and conspiracy to manufacture meth.

Peter Allan Woollard, 23, of 314 East Fourth St. in Albert Lea, and Tonya Marie Honsey, 26, of 207 West Netherlands Ave. in Hollandale, were charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, aiding and abetting of manufacturing, and attempting to manufacture meth. Kip John Bauldry, 28, of 609 Bridge Ave. in Albert Lea, was charged with possession of meth, a switchblade and drug paraphernalia. Two other juveniles involved were apprehended.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were dispatched in response to a phone call reporting some suspicious activities at an abandoned farm site northeast of Maple Island.

In one of the buildings at the site, in which the air was filled with a strong chemical odor, the deputies found items associated with meth production, including baggies, hoses, a mask, a funnel, a propane tank, aluminum foil, orange-stained filters, &uot;light-bulb&uot; pipes, and various containers.

The deputies spotted a car approaching the scene, which the 911 caller said was identical to one parked at the site beforehand, and arrested Honsey and a female juvenile. And, based on information from them, the deputies arrested the rest of the suspects shortly afterward.

Bauldry had two bags in his pocket that contained about two grams of meth, the sheriff’s office said.

The conspiracy to manufacture meth or aiding and abetting the manufacture charges can be punished by a maximum of 30 years in prison, according to Minnesota law.
