Wolverines win 3-0 at Grand Meadow

GRAND MEADOW &045; The Glenville-Emmons Wolverines were not at their best, but they were good enough.
After a slow start, the Wolverines went on to a 3-0 victory in a Southeast Conference volleyball match at Grand Meadow Monday night. The game scores were 17-15, 15-2, 15-6.
&uot;For some reason, we go to Grand Meadow and we don’t play our best,&uot; said coach Craig Rayman. &uot;But we played well enough to win.&uot;
Individual statistics: Jenna Brackey 13-for-14 serving, four aces, six set assists; Kelly Yost 12-for-12, two aces, three kills, one tip; Alisa Rayman 6-for-8, one ace, four kills, one tip, two blocks; Katie Brackey 8-for-10, six assists; Heidi Hansen 10-for-11; Emily Wolff 8-for-9, one tip; Taryn Kaasa 3-for-4, one ace; Ellen Hansen 2-for-2; Leann Chessmore 2-for-2; Amy Sola one kill, one block; Megan Bjorklund two kills, two tips, one block; Lauren Bremer two kills.
The Wolverines connected on 65 of 76 serves, with eight aces.
The Wolverines improved their record to 4-4 in the conference and 10-4 overall. They make the long trip to Houston for a conference match Thursday.
