The funeral for Alice Ness, 90, of Claremont, S.D., was at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 at the United Methodist Church in Claremont. The Rev. Wayne Tieszen officiated.

Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery in Langford with Price Funeral Chapel in Britton, S.D., in charge of arrangements.

Alice died Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Beverly Healthcare in Groton, S.D.

Survivors include three daughters, Marie (Elwood) Patterson and Joyce Hagenson, both of Claremont, and Dorothy (Keith) Porter of Albert Lea; two sons, Jerome (Leona) Ness of Britton and Harold Ness of Claremont; 26 grandchildren, 100-plus great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one sister and three brothers.
