The Albert Lea B-squad football team lost a heartbreaking game to the Rochester Mayo Spartans 16-6, which was a 9-6 game until Mayo put up a meaningless touchdown with 45 seconds remaining.

Albert Lea’s defense again led the way for the Bengals, giving up only 67 yards rushing and 80 yards passing. The defense was led by Jeff Bohlman, Zach Marty, Jared Butler and Brandon Klukow.

Albert Lea’s lone score came on a quarterback sneak by Marty, set up by a 50-yard run by Ryan Truesdell.
