Harry A. Bauers, age 76, of Austin, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin, with visitation from 5-7 p.m. tonight at the chapel and one hour before the service Tuesday. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea. The Rev. Dan Baker will officiate.

Harry was born on April 14, 1926 to Bernard and Ella (Behrends) Bauers in Freeborn County. He married Sandra L. Jensen on April 22, 1972 at the First Methodist Church in Albert Lea. He farmed north of Lansing for 43 years before he moved to Austin. He enjoyed tinkering on cars and worked at OMC in Owatonna for 14 years. He loved going to auctions, antiquing and dancing.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bauers of Austin; daughter, Leah Bauers of Stewartville; sisters, Frieda Miller of Albert Lea and Betty Bale of Rochester; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Herb; his parents; and a nephew, Dick.
